My little Princess could not be a more girlie girl. She loves anything that sparkles including my lip gloss but, knowing what goes into most lip products I was scared to let her have one of those cheapy glosses that are marketed to little girls.
I decided to make one for her and I have to say it came out fairly well. I used Shea Butter, Apricot kernal oil, vitamin E ,Carnuba wax, cosmetic mineral powder for a little color and cosmetic glitter for a little sparkle. Even though it looks like it has color in the bottle, it actually goes on clear with the tiniest bit of sparkle which is perfect for a 3 year old.
It's still not as tacky as I think a gloss should be but, I'll work on the formula to get it just right. For now, she's gonna LOOOVE having her own lip gloss for her purse that she carries everywhere we go and I don't have to worry about what she's putting on her lips.
