This summer was a busy one. I barely had a minute to blog..boooo. As you may or may not know I've been face painting up a storm this summer so, my weekends have been jam packed. We also moved at the begining of the summer which sucked and by the way I still have 6 unpacked boxes and no more room for anything!!!
The kids will now be in better schools and my little princess will be starting Transitional Kindergarten!!! AHHHH!! When did she get to be so big.....booooo times two. I have begun the process of getting them ready, shopping for supplies, clothes, shoes and here comes the fun part.....accessories!! WHOO HOO!! You all know how much I love to make fun, girlie stuff. I started making my princess a few hair clips and a fancy new bracelet, which I think she may need a few more. I mean a girls gotta have options especially considering she'll be wearing a uniform(I think)...bleh. That's no fun! So we have to jaz it up a bit with cute accessories...Here is some of what I've been working on....
I made a princess bracelet too but haven't had a chance to take a pic yet. I will when the sun is out. She has bows to match each of these OMG!! so cute!

First Trumpet performance
My little monkey isn't so little anymore. He had his first ever instrumental performance tonight. He played the Trumpet and did a pretty good job. He's only been practicing for about two months so, I think this is great for someone who's never played an instrument before and did I mention that he's the ONLY Trumpet player in the whole school!
He's playing his uncle David's trumpet. Those are some pretty big shoes to fill and I think he's up for the task. Hopefully he'll stick with it and be amazing.

I'm such a proud mom...
and now I'm going to share a little video of his performance..oh yes, I'm THAT mom.

The night before Halloween
It's tradition in our house to carve our pumpkins the night before Halloween and this year we decided to add roasting the seeds to our tradition. The first batch didn't work out so well or rather mommy burnt them. The second batch was delicious!
Here are the burnt seeds
and here is the good batch. Yummmmmmmy.
You can watch my little monsters scooping out the goop from their pumpkins here.

Fall cleaning
I took the kiddos to buy a couple of decorations for Fall since my little monkey Christian said "That's it?!" after we put up the Fall decor this year.
Grace chose a little broom with a Jack-O-lantern on it and of course mommy left it in the car so, all night I kept hearing "Whea's my boom?" So, this morning I went to get it from the car and as soon as she saw it she wanted to play with it. I told her " It's not for playing with, it's for decoration. We're going to hang it." But, she was not having it so, of course I gave it to her.
She proceeded to sweep the entire living room for about an hour and she did a pretty good job too. She even got Daddy to help with the dust pan. If I knew it was going to be that easy to get my floors cleaned I would've bought three brooms...One for each kid : )

Easy Halloween Cupcake Designs
I've been on the hunt for some super spooky Halloween cupcake ideas for two different Halloween events and found a great post on Tip Junkie ( Have I mentioned how much I LOVE her blog?!) which led me to My Cake School's post - Goulish Goodies I'm thinking about making either the pumpkin cupcake (click on a picture for more details)
or the Spider cupcake since they look the easiest an I'm pretty lame when it comes to baking.
I'll post pics of mine...hopefully they'll be as cute as these. Keep your fingers crossed : )
