My Grandmother turned 75 this past Valentine weekend and we surprised the heck out of her! She didn't see it coming and that alone was a difficult thing to do. She lives in palm Springs so, just getting all of the guests out there was half the battle. We had 2 months to plan this shindig about 2 1/2 hours to set everything up before the guests started arriving.
Here are the highlights....
This is what she saw plus about 20 more around the corner
We made her wear a funny hat..it was sooo her.
Here is my Auntie aka THE MASTERMIND behind this massive surprise. She took Grandma out for a day of beauty even though she was sick and recovering from a car accident...she really is the energizer BUNNY lol inside joke....she keeps going and going and going
My beautiful cousin aka THE DIRECTOR who made it all happen with her new hubby who she threw in the kitchen to make all of the yummy salads and participate in "craft time" at home tee hee...
and me with my super supportive hubby who helped me with the kids and helped do all of the manual labor for the party. We celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary on Valentine's Day by recovering from this super busy weekend.
My big boy...helped make these cute brownie picture frames.
The kids taking advantage of the pretty champagne glasses to drink their juice out of...how fun!
Grandma talking with the little princess about all of the notepads grandma had for her so she could leave little love notes all over the house like last time we visited.
Here the kids are playing in one of the sand traps on the golf course. I'm sure the grounds keeper hated us the next day. There were about 15 great grandkids out there playing...kids will be kids right?
The kids with their Great Grandma..priceless!
Grandma and her picture cake. She was and is still so beautiful!
All of us girls. This is a traditional pic we take every time we're all together minus the heart glasses of course
; ) It was a GREAT day spent with friends and family and most of all the people we love, all together for a most wonderful celebration.
Happy 75th birthday Grandma WE LOVE YOU!
